North Somerset Council Recycling Centre Booking System

North Somerset update.

The booking system for the Weston-super-Mare Recycling Centre launched on Monday 2 February.

From now on, you’ll need to book a slot in advance to visit the Weston Recycling Centre.

Introducing a booking system means we can stop people who don’t live in North Somerset from using the site, cut emissions from idling and waiting vehicles, and keep the site safe and efficient.

Booking is quick and easy. You can:

book up to two weeks ahead

or book just 10 minutes before your slot if there’s space available

You can also book on behalf of someone else and telephone bookings are available for people without internet access – you’ll just need their info including details of their vehicle and the type of waste they’re bringing.

Slots are 15 minutes long. Once you book, you’ll get a booking confirmation email with a booking reference. When you get to the recycling centre, you’ll be greeted by a member of staff who’ll check you in and confirm your booking.

If you book a slot and then no longer need it, please cancel your slot so someone else can use it.

After a monitoring period at Weston, we’ll look to extend the system to our Portishead and Backwell sites from Monday 2 March.
